too many problems...

So, I guess I've been MIA for a while. Bleh. I got the Fashion Internship. It's been...uh, not great. I thought it would be more of a PR internship, but I don't get to do anything remotely PR-related. I basically log and pack clothes that are going out to photo shoots in magazines and I log the clothes that are coming back in from photo shoots. It's really tedious work, I'm on my feet most of the day, and I don't really get a lunch break or anything. After my first couple of days, my feet were screaming at me. I'm only going Mon/Tues/Thurs, which is definitely enough for me. Some of the other interns are nice, and a few select staff members are really nice. The others...have a lot to be desired.

I have four interviews next week. The only full-time interview is for a PR company. I don't know much about it, but it looks like it has potential. One is for a part-time hostess position at this restaurant that I love. I go there all the time and it seems like a place where the people are really laidback and cool. It's really close to the NYU campus. The other interview is for a receptionist at a medical clinic. I don't know much about the place, but I'll know more when I go to the interview. The last interview is for an internship that I had applied to almost a month ago. Originally, they were offering $2 an hour, so when she contacted me again this past week, I said I was looking for employment that was paying more. She asked how much I wanted, and I said about $10/hr, and she told me to come in. Very confused about what happened, but I've got nothing to lose, I suppose. I'm hoping to hear back from more places. I probably sent out about 6-8 resumes for full-time and part-time jobs, so we'll see.

I'm going to a Damian Rice concert with Melissa on Tuesday. I don't really know many of his songs, only a select few, so I'm not as excited as I could be. But I'm sure it'll be fun. Kara's coming down with a couple of her co-workers that day, so I'm going to try to meet up with her for dinner or something.

I'm also going to a show Cynthia and her production company are putting on. It's nice to have plans for a change. Usually, I just go home and have dinner with my parents, haha.
